F1 visa application after recent b1 visa rejection

Postby Karishma » Mon, 07 Dec 2009 04:24:08 -0500

I am applying for an F1 visa for a second masters in the US. I had returned back to India, my home country in October. In November, I applied for a tourist visa to attend a wedding. This was rejected under 212 (a). I am now applying for my F1 visa to attend NYU and have a valid I-20 and sufficient funds for the entire course.

Would this recent B1 rejection affect my chances of getting a student visa?

I apologize that I missed your message. How did your visa interview turn out?

I got the visa. Very simple interview. All I was asked was what I was studying and my previous degree.

Hi Karishma,

Good to know that u got a visa for your second masters.

Can you help me by telling me about ur interview?

I too will be applying for a second masters in the US. My first degree was an MBA at Syracuse University.

I've heard that it is very difficult to secure an F1 for a second masters, so I'm very tensed and anxious. Please help!
