Hello everybody,

My name is Luis. I am from Peru. I am 23 years old. I will explain my case. In 2010 I decided to apply to Ringling College so I was preparing myself and building a portfolio to apply the next year (2012). Sadly, I got sick and I was diagnosed with leukemia which require a long treatment that ends in a bone marrow transplant in Spain, because in my country this procedure was kind of new. My parents decided to take me to Spain. My transplant was successful made it. I am studying in Madrid now but my dream was to study in US.

I got some questions. After my bone marrow till the day of now. I develop some chronic issues that are controlled. If i want to go to study and I get a health insurance it could cover my part of check ups?. I have a check up every year which include bone marrow aspiration and blood test. Also, Do you think i will have troubles getting a good insurance that help me to cover my medications that i am already taking it?.

Also I would like to find some scholarships. Maybe, Are there scholarships for cancer survivors who are from outside the US? or any scholarship for international student will be great.

Thank you!
