Advice - Australian to Canadian

Postby Blogger101 » Sat, 09 Apr 2016 04:17:18 -0500

I'm currently in my junior year of high school and will be graduating next year. I would like to have some idea of the process of moving to Australia after high school is finished. I was looking into this university in Australia, however it required you to be eighteen when enrolled. When I graduate I will be seventeen going into the semester, so I'm wondering if it would be wise, or I should say possible, to backpack around Australia before I turn eighteen and then settle into university there. I don't like the idea of gap years, nor do I want to take one, but I would like to at least see the country as I think it would be an amazing experience.

A Few More Questions:

1) How hard is it to find an employer who knows you only have 6 months to work for them?
2) How much money should I take with me if I am back packing before starting school?
3) Has anyone done this before more importantly?
4) Should I bring my car with me or focus on transportation there?

Thanks, would love any feedback.

University mentioned is Sunshine Coast University
