Moving to UK at age 15

Postby Anjan » Sat, 17 Sep 2016 10:26:29 -0500

Hi,

Because of my job requirement I may need to relocate to UK and my son has to travel with me. He is 14 years old now. I am trying to understand if there will be any difficulty in his moving to a UK school. Here are my questions that I need help with:

a) When does UK school year start? By which month should one be 14 to enter GCSE?
b) Is it allowed to accept students who are age 15 into GSCE, assuming they are prepared enough to appear for GCSE exam when they are 16 years old?
c) My son studied in English and has cleared English proficiency test by Cambridge, so that should not be a problem I would think.

Will be great if someone can help with the above questions.

Regards,
Anjan
